YES/NO Should You Add a Meetup Social Icon to Your FreeToastHost Website?

It depends... Are you a Group Organizer on MeetUp?

There is just one determining factor to enable you to know whether you should add a MeetUp Icon to your website... Does your club own the account? Has your club made it's own group?

Probably not since joining MeetUp as a Group Organizer is a bit pricey.

Many Districts have organized/created their own groups on MeetUp. Toastmasters are encouraged to sign up for MeetUp and become a member of the District's MeetUp Group. As a member they can create an recurring event for their club meetings.

Let's now skip to the bottom line. If this is the scenario for your club...

It is not possible to make a link to your recurring event on MeetUp. If you try, you will link to just one meeting date which, by next week, will be history.

If you create a link to the District's MeetUp Group...

You will be giving your prospective member a lot of clubs to choose from when you just had him at your website!

Sometimes its okay to be club-centric. It's your choice.
